- Sensibility: There are many moments where an action from the main character feels out of place, but the complexity of this character is so extreme that some of these oddities are explainable.
- Cinematography: Great lighting work and costuming. However, some odd production design choices, like a theater choice for a one-man body building show and some strangely edited scene transitions that break up the flow are negatives in an overall very strong film with clear and precise visual direction.
- Energy: The film drags a bit getting to an extreme climax that we know is coming, but the payout for the wait isn't quite worth the patience.
- Narrative: Brilliant story about an incredibly idiosyncratic individual that is still very relatable and thought-provoking. There are some moments, like that with a prostitute and a few repeated instances with the counselor, that feel incomplete or inconsequential.
- T-Points: The film received three bonus points: one for an incredible transition to an MRI scan, one for a deceit-filled conversation with a counselor, and one for a brutally uncomfortable dinner-date scene.
It's a shame this movie got shoved so far under the radar due to the scandals surrounding Jonathan Majors. Majors delivers an incredible performance: art that is worth being valued separate from the artist.
