- Sensibility: The film gets away with a lot using the demonic/spiritual elements, but even that isn't enough to maintain suspension of disbelief through everything.
- Cinematography: Production design is overall very good and the highlight of the film. Lighting choices are solid and camera work is solid, but not particularly remarkable or unique. Camera work is
a bit derivative of other horror films, but has a few moments of excellent framing that gives the film a unique, scary vibe.
- Energy: Great watch packed into a solid run-time. Brutal, built-up jump-scares with quick story-telling and few interruptions in flow.
- Narrative: The film's brief exploration of the main characters and side characters backgrounds is not thorough but is enough to get by. Solid dialogue choices and overall structure. There's a big moment for the main character, so big that it is character defining, early on in the film that is mostly ignored for the remainder.
- T-Points: The film received two bonus points: one for a brutal suicide and one for a written story portrayed as bookends to the film.
Overall, pleasantly surprised by how good this horror film is. Solid film with brutal jumpscares if you're into that sort of thing. It's narrative weaknesses also give it strengths in terms of run-time and it has a well communicated theme.
