- S: Only a few minor details stand out as off-character or distract from the flow of the film. In particular, why didn't she ask for more money?
- C: The sets and costuming are a major highlight of the film. It also has some incredible shots that just sneak up on you. You can tell the difference between bad camera work and good camera work, like in this film,
with the messages that the camera angle sends. There are many moments during the film where the angle of the camera says more than the characters do.
- E: The film hums with life. You can't look away.
- N: It's a classic story with a bit of role reversal. Guy falls in love with a stripper from the stripper's perspective. You know where it's going, but the journey is so nuanced and full of life
that it makes this film excellent.
- T: The film received three bonus points: one for a great shot looking out a snowy window and a shot outside a private jet, one for excellent costuming, and one for the incredible end scene in the car. I also very much enjoyed the sequence where the Russian's first enter the home and tie-up Annie. Even on rewatch it has a very strong dark humor.
Going in, I thought this was going to be a run-of-the-mill over-sexualized drama. The film surprised me with excellent artistry and a story with some punch.
